    Dr Alison Taylor

    Veterinarian, Senior Small Animal Partner - BVSc (Hons)

    Dr. Alison is one of the partners here at the Kaleen Veterinary Hospital. She began her career in mixed animal practice in Gerringong before moving to England. She worked there in small animal practice for four years and also managed to see some of the world during this time. After another short stint at the coast, she moved to Canberra in 2004 and has been at Kippax Veterinary Hospital since 2006. During this time she has done further study in radiography, ultrasonography and management of radioactive substances allowing the use of radioactive iodine to treat cats with hyperthyroidism.

    Alison has two little boys (Jack and Hugh) to keep her busy when not at work. Her main interests outside of work and family are sport, cooking and traveling.

  • Dr Kanchan Iyer BVSc, BSc, ASAVA

    Veterinarian

    Ever since she was a little girl, Canberra has always been a second home for Kanchan, and she has family members far and wide through the Canberra suburbs! After finishing her studies at the University of Sydney, it was a no-brainer that she move to Canberra and enjoy all it has to offer. She has been with the Kippax & Kaleen team since 2014 and enjoys all things small animal medicine including ultrasonography, behaviour, dentistry and internal medicine.

    Outside of work you can find Kanchan enjoying Canberra’s many walks, cooking and baking, hanging with her cats Fern and Patrick, spending time with her family and friends, and tending to her ever-growing houseplant collection.

  • Dr Roxanne Peachey BVSc

    Veterinarian

    Graduating from James Cook University 2011, Roxanne enjoys all aspects of small animal general practice. She has been with Kippax and Kaleen Vets since 2018. Roxanne has two human children and two miniature dachshunds.

  • Dr Simone Rowe BVSc

    Dr Simone Rowe BVSc

    Veterinarian

    Dr Simone graduated from James Cook University, joining the Kaleen Vet team in early 2022. She has a keen interest in small animal medicine, particularly feline medicine. She is excited to meet new clients and has a strong focus in creating a stress-free environment for her patients.

    Growing up in North Queensland, Simone has been enjoying exploring the region’s brunch spots and hiking trails since moving to Canberra. If she is not at the local farmer’s market, she’ll often be tending to her growing plant collection.

  • Dr Emma Camilleri BVSc

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Emma graduated from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga in July of 2021 and joined the Kaleen Vet team in early 2022.

    Emma grew up in East Kurrajong and has always been surrounded by animals. Emma Has interests in both small animal medicine and surgery and is extremely passionate about building strong relationships with clients and her patients.

    Outside of work, Emma love spending time with her family, cooking, reading and relaxing. Emma enjoys the outdoors and often holidays around Australia with her family camping, fishing and exploring.

  • Ruby Willcox-Goodisson

    Ruby Willcox-Goodisson

    Veterinary Nurse Manager

    Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing & Diploma in Veterinary Nursing - General Practice

    Ruby started working at our sister clinic – the Weston Woden Animal Hospital – as a kennel hand in April 2012. She completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2014, and Diploma in Veterinary Nursing General Practice in 2021. After spending many years learning from wonderful colleagues and helping to grow and manage the clinic, Ruby took on a new challenge and moved over to work for us here at Kaleen as a nurse manager in early 2021.

    Ruby lives in north Canberra with her Kelpie cross Sandy, Burmese cat Cedric, and four chickens Frenchy, Jan, Rizzo and Marty. Sandy comes along to work with Ruby every day and has even been named staff member of the month!

    In her free time, Ruby enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with family, friends, and her menagerie of pets.

  • Emma Drew-Cowan

    Veterinary Nurse

    Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

    Emma grew up in Sydney and Canberra and has a background of working in the hospitality industry but decided on a career change in 2016 when she began her vet nursing studies.

    She has always been an avid animal lover and when she is not fawning over every dog that comes into the clinic, she enjoys traveling, seeing live music and reading a good book with a cup of tea in the sun. Her dream is to one day take her vet nursing skills overseas and help in the fight for the conservation of elephants.

    Emma works at both our Kaleen and Kippax clinics.

  • Claire Blakeley

    Veterinary Nurse

    Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

    Claire started working at our sister clinic - the Kippax Vet - at the start of 2021, and obtained her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in December 2021. As well as working here at Kaleen, Claire also does shifts at the Weston Woden Animal Hospital - another one of our clinics.

    Growing up on a hobby farm in Bywong NSW, she was surrounded by animals and found her passion of loving and caring for them.

    Outside of work Claire enjoys going to the gym and loves spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys going down to the coast on weekends and loves the outdoors.

  • Nicole Hutton

    Trainee Veterinary Nurse

    Nicole originally comes from Sydney. Having previously worked in mental health as a registered Art Therapist, she made a career change to work in the Veterinary Industry in 2020. She is currently working towards obtaining her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing. At home Nicole has a rescue greyhound named Finn.

  • Brenna Cormack

    Trainee Veterinary Nurse

    Brenna started doing work experience with us in May 2023, while studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, and is now a part of the Kaleen team!

    Brenna grew up surrounded by animals and has always been interested in working with them, and looking after them, since she was a kid. At home she has a cat named Hero, three guinea pigs named Artemus, Nyx and Mocha, and a rabbit named Harley.

    Out side of animals Brenna loves playing soccer and has being doing so for over 10 years now. She follows the women’s national team and Arsenal during the league seasons.
